Welcome.

To an incredible experience (as described by a guest):

“Arriving at Epupa Camp in the early evening to be welcomed by friendly people, good cheer and a delicious dinner for famished wayfarers, was paradisiacal. But it was the ever-present and powerful magic of the mighty Kunene River that really did the trick.

The uninterrupted flow and ubiquitous rivers song, best described as a continuous and infinitely intense murmur, seemed to awaken long forgotten, deep-rooted memories of a time when the world was younger and human beings not yet set apart from nature.

I felt the surge of a nameless sorrow, a hopeless mourning over the loss of our collective innocence. Yet, the river continued to whisper throughout the night, softly lulling me to sleep, entering my dreams with its quick silvery, starlit force.

And it sang to me:

Nothing is lost that cannot be found again, on a new day, in a new way…”

Activities include guided cultural tours, sundowners, rafting on the Kunene River, and several nature walks and hikes. To experience Epupa Falls, the area and our activities in its entire splendour, a minimum stay of two nights, ideally three, is recommended.

Epupa Falls is situated about 800m from Epupa Camp, an easy walk along the river if you prefer to do it on your own.

Apart from our private island and two swimming pools, our facilities include two outdoor bars with free WiFi, a lounge with a small library, and a dining room.

(Being very remote we are unable to guarantee good internet 24/7 as we have to rely on a service provider.)

A hanging bridge connects Epupa Camp with our small private island.  Small foot paths lead to incredible viewpoints at sunset.  For the rest we leave it up to you to explore …

All meals are served al fresco on the river front terrace, dinners by candlelight. Weather permitting!

Irrespective of whether you fly or drive, getting to Epupa is an experience in itself. A flight from Windhoek takes you past Etosha National Park and the striking Zebra Mountains before descending along the Kunene River. By road, you will see the landscape gradually becoming wilder and more desolate.
